What the service is for

CanServe exists to deliver documents in a legal proceeding or a lawful administrative process, and to prove that delivery. Everything the platform offers — address investigation, attempts, photographs, GPS — is there for that purpose.

What you must not do

  • Use CanServe to locate, watch, approach, or pressure a person for any other reason, including a personal dispute, debt collection outside a lawful process, or curiosity about someone's address.
  • Order service you know to be improper — on a person you know is represented and must be served through counsel, or in a way a court has prohibited.
  • Give us documents or instructions intended to harass, threaten, or deceive the person receiving them.
  • Upload content you have no right to give us, or a photograph of a person obtained unlawfully.
  • Share a login, try to reach another firm's data, probe or scrape the platform, or work around its limits.
  • Present our records as something other than what they are, or alter a signed proof.

What we do about it

Our process servers may refuse or stop an attempt that would put anyone at risk, and we will tell you why.

We investigate reports, and we suspend or close accounts used against this policy. Where there is a risk to someone's safety, or where the law requires it, we contact the authorities.

Report a concern to the contact address on our contact page. Tell us the tracking number if you have one.
