Alberta's Rules of Court deal with service in Part 11, and a statement of claim generally has to be served within one year of filing. We cover Calgary, Edmonton, and the corridor between them, plus the smaller centres and rural addresses.

One year to serve a claim
Rule 3.26 gives a year, but energy and construction disputes rarely allow it. Rush and Priority move a file to the front of the day's route.
Corporate service
Much of the work here is service on corporations — head offices in Calgary, yards and field offices elsewhere. We serve at a place of business or the registered office where the rules allow.
Rural and acreage addresses
