Service of process

Documents served properly, the first time

Send us the documents and the person or business to be served. We plan the service around the rules of the province, assign a process server who works that area, and keep you posted from the first attempt to the signed affidavit.

From $95 per party

What's included

  • Personal and alternative service

Personal service where the rules require it, and substituted or corporate service where they allow it. Every attempt is recorded with the time, place, and what happened.

  • A pin on the map

You drop the exact door, office, or gate on the map when you order, so nobody wastes an attempt on the wrong entrance.

  • Attempt log

Each visit is logged with its time, location, and a note, and appears on your case as soon as it's recorded.

  • Signed affidavit of service

When the party is served, the server's signed proof is ready to download from the case. If service isn't possible, you get a declaration setting out every attempt.

How it works

What happens after you order

  1. 1

    Order online

Enter the party, the address, and your reference, pin the location, attach the documents, and choose how fast you need the first attempt.

  2. 2

    We verify and assign

Our intake team checks the documents and address, then assigns a process server who covers that area.

  3. 3

    Attempts, tracked

Follow every attempt as it happens. If the address is wrong, we tell you right away and suggest next steps.

  4. 4

    Proof in your case file

Download the signed affidavit of service. Your invoice and receipt sit on the same case.

Questions

About service of process

How many attempts are included?

We keep attempting at reasonable times of day until the party is served or it becomes clear service can't be made at that address. If we need a new address or your instructions, the case is flagged for you straight away.

Can you serve a corporation?

Yes. We serve corporations through a person the rules allow, such as an officer, director, or someone in control of the business at its place of business, or at its registered office where permitted.

What if the person is avoiding service?

We record each attempt in detail. That record supports a motion for substituted service if you decide to bring one.
